What’s new

Rencore Governance ships continuously, about 10 times a day. Follow new governance for Digital Workplace, AI & Agents, and Apps, Automation and BI as it lands, newest first.

Rencore Governance release highlights in motion: the inventory lists Microsoft 365 object types, Planner newly added, and Claude and ChatGPT in preview, while release cards arrive for a new feature, an improvement and a fix; the view then switches to the Rencore app in Microsoft Teams, where two Teams App updates arrive beside a guest review.

Find any report, policy, automation or review in one search

Rencore Governance has grown, and so has the number of places an artifact can live. Until now, finding a specific policy, report or automation meant knowing which area it sits in and scrolling through that list. With this release, Global Search is available for all customers. Results are grouped by type, ranked by relevance, and only ever show what you are allowed to see in the environment you are in.

Quarantine, delete, and reassign Copilot Studio agents with automations

Three new automation actions let admins act on Copilot Studio agents from the Automation Builder. Quarantine takes an agent out of active operation across channels, and release brings it back after remediation. Delete removes an agent and its inventory entries, and Reassign hands an agent to a new owner. The actions run through a dedicated consent for Power Platform API admin actions.

  • Isolate noncompliant agents while makers can still test them
  • Give orphaned agents a new owner
  • Use all Copilot Studio data placeholders and relations in automations

Features

1
  • Consent

    Copilot Studio consent with auto-discovery

Copilot Studio consent now discovers environments automatically, so no manual environment list is needed. The consent panel shows connected and failed environments and the next scan time, and a renewed consent is required.

Improvements

2
  • Teams App

    Request titles in approvals

The approval dialog in the Rencore app in Microsoft Teams shows the request title, so approvers see what they decide on.

  • Teams App

Highlight

Start reviews automatically when a policy detects a violation

Reviews can now start on a policy violation, next to manual and scheduled triggers. In the Review Builder, admins pick the policy from a searchable list, and the reviewed object type aligns with that policy. Triggered reviews appear next to the policy’s automations in its Connected Actions section.

  • Policy findings flow straight into a review
  • The reviewed object type follows the policy
  • Reviews and automations of a policy in one view

Features

2
  • Reviews

    Groups as reviewers

Review settings accept one or more groups as reviewers, next to workspace owners and specified users. Members of the selected groups can run the review.

  • ReviewsScanning

    Review objects stay current

After each scan, pending and in-progress review objects pick up name and description changes, owner and member changes, and deleted workspaces. Completed, expired, and canceled objects keep their historical state.

Improvements

2
  • Reviews

    Review data in demo environments

Demo environments include ready-made review data, so teams explore Reviews with realistic scenarios without any setup.

  • ReviewsConsent

When a review covers SharePoint file access or site access, the Review Builder asks which sharing link types to include. Setting up these scopes is clearer as a result.

  • Reviews

    Rich text review notifications

Review notification texts use a rich text editor, so emails carry the paragraphs and formatting you set.

Fixes

9th August 2026

Features

3
  • Reviews

    Bulk actions in review cycles

Select several items on the Review Cycle Detail page and apply Manual Retry or Set to Completed in one step. An Error column shows which items need attention.

  • ReviewsTeams App

    One review email per cycle

Review cycles can send each reviewer one email at cycle start, with their number of assigned items and a link to the Reviews overview. Teams notifications follow the same setting once the app manifest is updated.

  • Provisioning

    More requester tokens

Provisioning templates can use more requester and manager attributes, such as state or province, usage location, company, email domain, and up to fifteen extension attributes. They work in name prefixes and suffixes, group mail nicknames, and custom site URLs.

Improvements

2
  • ProvisioningTeams App

    Only relevant request fields

Request forms hide the sensitivity label and visibility fields when they are locked and have no preset value. A locked field with a preset value shows as read-only.

  • See which files are under Microsoft 365 Archive management
  • Filter the file inventory by archive status
  • Use archive status as a condition in automations

Features

    Review cycles that finish early

A review cycle moves to Finished as soon as its objects reach a final status, without waiting for the due date.

  • Reviews

    Review object details page

Selecting an object in an active review cycle opens its own page with the review status, workspace properties, and a chronological activity log. From there, you retry failed operations or jump to the object in the inventory.

  • Settings

    Subscription threshold notifications

Owners, admins, or a custom email list get an email when licensed users reach 95 percent of the subscribed limit. The alert is set per environment and sent once each time usage crosses the threshold.

    Clickable rows

Clicking anywhere on a row in the Reviews and Approvals pages of the Rencore app in Microsoft Teams opens the item.

  • ReviewsTeams App

    Distinct undo action

On the review summary, undo is an icon button, so it stands apart from the Removed status.

Fixes

3
  • AutomationAutomations with several approvers run their actions once, after the final decision, and list the people who approved.
  • InventorySubscriptions in the Microsoft 365 inventory show their product names.
  • ReviewsSummaries of rejected, expired, and canceled review objects list the actions that were applied.

Dynamic groups are marked clearly and stay read-only, because their membership rules manage them.

  • Privacy, membership type, email, and expiration date for each group
  • Nested groups that expand one level
  • Delete Group templates with or without approval
  • A workspace list filtered by ownership or membership

Improvements

1
  • Scanning

    Daily risky sign-in scans

4th July 2026

Features

    Sensitivity labels by automation

An automation action applies a sensitivity label to Microsoft 365 groups. Automations can now classify and protect groups in line with your data governance rules.

Highlight

See your reports at a glance on the redesigned Reports pages

The Reports area of Rencore Governance moves to the design you already know from other parts of the product. A landing page shows your reports as tiles grouped by service or category, with time period filters and direct links to each report. The Reports overview page brings clearer columns, simpler dialogs, and a column picker for the data grid. Report details and the report template library follow the same layout.

  • Reports grouped by service or category on one page
  • Choose which columns the reports list shows
  • Report details and templates in the same design
